How is the 2-in-1 laptops (detachable / hybrid) market in the Middle East positioned?
When it comes to 2-in-1 laptops, the countries of the GCC region show the most promise in terms of growth. These countries are becoming increasingly connected and digitally savvy, hence demand more from their computing devices. In line with this, 2-in-1 laptops, whether detachable or hybrid, are designed for life on the go and allow high flexibility and utmost mobility. These form factors have been well-received in the region and are driving the momentum.

Can you tell us about your range of devices that come under the 2-in-1 laptops category?
At the recent GITEX Shopper Spring Edition 2017, we unveiled the world’s smallest 13-inch 2-in-1 with InfinityEdge screen and 360-degree hinge – which is a new addition to the award-winning XPS portfolio. Besides this, we also have the Inspiron 2-in-1 (3000, and 5000 series). These are colorful, lightweight and impressively versatile convertibles characterized by power and performance and packed with optional features like an infrared camera for facial recognition and brilliant Full HD display.    

What are the top 5 features according you that users consider when buying a 2-in-1 laptop?
The top 5 features users are likely to consider when purchasing a 2-in-1 laptop are – portability, versatility, power, display and price.

What is the greatest USP of a 2-in-1 laptop?
Besides offering a touchscreen display, the greatest USP of a 2-in-1 laptop is that it combines the most prominent features of laptops and tablets, and gives the user the best of both worlds.

With a 2-in-1 laptop, you have fewer gadgets to worry about. Is this statement true? How so?
Today, most people prefer a laptop when they need to complete heaps of work, a smartphone when they are on the move and a tablet when relaxing at home. With a 2-in-1 laptop, the user cuts out the deadweight from this equation, which means, they will have one less device to worry about, or at least one less device to charge. A 2-in-1 laptop is equipped with all advanced features and capabilities and can be easily compared to a high-end system. So, yes, it is true that with a 2-in-1 laptop, you have fewer gadgets to worry about.
