Here Are the First Real-Life Pictures of the Samsung Galaxy Note 8

Now that we know pretty much the full specs of the Samsung Galaxy Note 8, it’s about time we got to see the obligatory first photos of an actual, real-life prototype of the phone. And here they are in their full glory, complete with tons of blurred-out and masked text, URLs, and prototype IDs.

Not much is new in the photos, however, as they conform pretty nicely with all the leaks we’ve seen so far. Really the only revelations here are actually things we’ve seen before in the Galaxy S8. Firstly, the Always On display will be keeping the same functionality and appearance as on the company’s current flagship device.
This includes the always-present on-screen home button, leading us to believe its pressure-sensitivity will also make a comeback (though previous rumors have suggested the whole display might detect pressure as well). We can also see the S Pen in its full glory — and as shown in previous leaks, it looks exactly the same as the Galaxy Note 7’s.
And in fact, the source of the pictures claims it will be the same in terms of hardware, as well, which means it will offer 4096 levels of pressure sensitivity, and will also be usable even when the Note 8 is submerged in water. Also, the pictures were taken today, so this is as fresh of a leak as they come. And lastly, someone seems to have been taking screenshots on the device, which have unfortunately not made it to the public’s eye.
The Note 8 will be unveiled on August 23, which gives us plenty of time for other (and hopefully better-looking) leaks, so keep your eyes peeled.

Have your say!
