HTC Vive to Bring the Goodness of VR to Games Con Middle East 2017

As the region gears up for this month’s Games Con Middle EastHTC Vive will be bringing room-scale virtual reality (VR) experiences to visitors. This will be done through non-stop action across the three day festival held November 23-25 at ADNEC in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

Vive is excited to demo for the first time ever in the region its latest hardware add-ons for further gaming immersion. These include the recently launched Vive Tracker which brings any real-world object into the virtual world. It can be added to specially-designed accessories to play your favourite games with near limitless possibilities.

During Games Con, visitors can test the new Vive Tracker using specially-designed handles that resemble ping pong and tennis racquets, which can be used across the Virtual Sports experience, now available on Viveport – the company’s app store, where gamers can discover over 250 titles of the latest and greatest in virtual reality.

For those who fancy themselves masters of the multiplayer shooter genre, they’ll be able to take a shot at the thrilling Pavlov VR (the Counter-Strike of VR) and get the chance for them and a team mate to take home a Vive each—valued at AED 2,599 per unit.

The “VIVE vs. MSI Tournament” will be held across the three-day festival at the HTC Vive booth. Teams must register on the first day of the festival to fight for the chance at the quarter-finals and then the finale on November 25. Registration is free on-site but spots are limited, so get in early!
