While Samsung prepares to launch a new smartwatch, there have already been leaked images making the rounds online. But now, we get a look at leaked press images of the wearable, thanks to the trusted source Evan Blass.
The leakster had posted press renders of the Galaxy Watch 3 and what we see here is the 45mm variant of the device. The smartwatch appears to have a stainless-steel casing. Just as previous rumours suggested, the Galaxy Watch 3 features a physical rotating bezel, along with the presence of two buttons on the right side of the device. This confirms that the rotating bezels finally makes a return to the Samsung smartwatch portfolio.
The wearable also is said to come with a heart rate monitor, GPS functionality, and is MIL-STD-810G certified design with 5 ATM of water resistance and Gorilla Glass DX protection for its glass. It’s also believed that the Samsung Galaxy Watch 3 will be available in a titanium variant as well. The press renders also reveals new watch face designs that reveal the number of steps, weather, battery percentage, and more.
The smartwatch is also rumoured to come with a 1.4-inch circular Super AMOLED display, 1GB RAM, and 8GB of storage. The operating system to be used here is the Tizen OS 5.5, along with ECG sensors, sleep tracking, WIFI, NFC, Samsung Pay and Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity. The 41mm of the Galaxy Watch 3 is said to come with a 247 mAh battery and the 45mm with a 340 mAh battery. The wearable is expected to offer wireless charging functionality. Rumours also suggest that the smartwatch is expected a loudspeaker to respond to voice calls and responses via the Samsung Bixby.
