Infinix Zero 8 goes official, features a 90Hz display and a quad-camera setup

Infinix has officially unveiled its latest smartphone called the Zero 8, featuring a display with a refresh rate of 90Hz, MediaTek chipset, and a unique rhombus-designed camera module.

The Infinix Zero 8 has a large display with a screen size of 6.85-inch panel. The screen features a resolution of 2460 x 1080 with 392ppi.  Along with the 90Hz refresh rate, the device uses an IPS panel for good viewing angles. The display also features a 180Hz touch sampling capability. The smartphone display has a cutout on the top left side for two selfie camera sensors, one of which is a 48MP selfie snapper, and the other is an 8MP selfie shooter.

Speaking of which, the main camera module, mounted on the rear side of the smartphone, holds a total of 4 different camera sensors. The main camera consists of a 64MP Sony IMX686 image sensor with 4K recording capability and electronic image stabilization. The primary shooter has an image sensor size of 1/1.72 and has support for phase detection autofocus. The second camera is an 8MP shooter for wide-angle photography. The remaining two consists of 2MP image sensors, meant for macro photography and depth sensing.

As for the specifications, the Infinix Zero 8 is powered by the MediaTek Helio G90T mobile processor and works along with 8GB on-board RAM and 128GB of internal memory. You can extend the storage further with the dedicated MicroSD card slot. The device operates on Android 10 OS and fused with Infinix OS 7 user interface.

The new smartphone packs a large 4500 mAh battery and has support for 33W SuperCharge (fast charging) capability. There is a fingerprint scanner located on the right side of the smartphone. The device also has a 3.5mm audio jack, FM radio, and more. The Zero 8 weighs 205g and is 9.1mm thick.

The new Infinix Zero 8 is expected to hit the international market on September 1 and is said to be priced at $250 (Approx. 919 AED).
