Samsung releases Gamer Driver application to boost GPU performances for Galaxy S20 and Note20

With graphics drivers seen as an important factor to improve the gaming performance of smartphones, and PCs, Samsung has launched a new Android application called the Game Driver, meant to improve the GPU performance in Galaxy S20 and Note20 smartphones.

Samsung has released the Game Driver application in two different versions, one meant for the Adreno GPU, for the devices powered by the Snapdragon processors, and the other for Mali GPUs that are obviously backed by the Exynos SoCs. Samsung specifically mentions that these applications are only meant for S20 and Note20 devices. However, there isn’t any indication if it’s for the entire S20 and Note20 series of devices, or just for those two models.

The latest description at the time of writing this news, states that the current Game Driver will improve gaming performance on Android game titles such as Black Desert, Fortnite, and Call of Duty: Mobile. We cannot guarantee if this release will improve or break the performance of the smartphones since we don’t have the devices to test them. Regardless, this is a great step by Samsung to release game drivers on its latest smartphones.

There isn’t any confirmation yet if Samsung would bring gaming performance improvements for older Galaxy models just yet.
