ASUS unveils the TUF VG289Q1A 4K gaming monitor

ASUS has officially expanded its TUF series gaming monitor with the introduction of the TUF VG289Q1A 4K gaming monitor.

The new monitor features a 28-inch IPS screen panel with 3840×2160 as its screen resolution, and the maximum refresh rate supported by the monitor at 4K is 60Hz. The TUF VG289Q1A is capable of delivering stunning images with 90% DCI-P3 color space and is tuned for professional PC gamers. The monitor also brings support for AMD FreeSync and Adaptive-Sync technologies to eliminate screen tearing and stuttering during gameplay.

To enhance the visuals, the TUF VG289Q1A also features HDR 10 support for a wider color range and delivers the deepest blacks and the brightest whites. ASUS has also included a feature called the Multi HDR Mode that lets you choose different HDR modes based on what you are watching or playing, and some of the modes include the ASUS Cinema HDR and ASUS Gaming HDR. Additionally, ASUS also included the Shadow Boost technology that lets gamers see dark areas without overexposing the entire screen. Then comes the GamePlus that offers a slew of gamer-centric features such as the crosshair, timer, fps counter, and so on. The GameVisual preset display modes are also available, allowing you to choose between display profiles such as Racing, MOBA, Cinema, RTS/RPG, FPS, sRGB, and Scenery.

The ASUS Ultra-Low Blue Light technology helps to reduce the amount of blue light emitted, thereby letting you use the monitor for long hours without causing strain on your eyes. The TUF VG289Q1A features a DisplayPort 1.2 port, two HDMI 2.0 ports, and one earphone jack. The display also has its own dual 2W Stereo speakers. The response time (grey to grey) is rated to be 5ms and the contrast ratio is 1000:1.

There is no word yet on the availability and pricing of the ASUS TUF VG289Q1A gaming monitor for the UAE, and we will update you once the details are out.
