In the spirit of giving, this Eid du will offer high-speed WiFi from 12 June to 18 June at over 400 hot spot locations across the UAE. In addition to providing free higher-speed WiFi, du is offering WiFi UAE at six mosques throughout the Emirates. The telco also launched a moving Ramadan show that enabled several family reunions to take place after a long period of two years apart.
Finally, du continues to #KeepOnGiving through its annual Mawaed Al Rahman initiative, which brings together UAE residents, citizens and corporations to pack essential Ramadan food items into reusable, environmentally friendly boxes for families in need throughout Dubai and the Northern Emirates.
WiFi UAE is a country-wide initiative to provide WiFi access to the public, in line with UAE Vision 2021. It is available to all users with a WiFi-enabled device, including smartphones, laptops, and tablets, and offers users two types of internet connection: WiFi UAE Free and WiFi UAE Premium. With more than 400 hotspots around the UAE, WiFi UAE is available in numerous high footfall locations including RTA serviced areas such as the Dubai Metro and Tram, malls, and Emaar Boulevard Downtown Dubai, to name a few. It provides fast and free access to all government websites and apps and enables users to check their email, connect on their preferred social media apps, and use their favorite chat applications.
