ECity opens new store at Dubai’s Ibn Battuta Mall

ECity, part of Albatha Holding, one of UAE’s largest conglomerates and an electronics retail giant, has opened another branch in Dubai’s Ibn Battuta Mall: A state-of-the-art showroom spanning 2,000 square metres.

The inauguration of the company’s 10th store in the UAE was attended by Jaouad Dakir, CEO of ECity, along with other senior officials and it marks another key milestone in the company’s expansion strategy in the local market.

Dakir said the newly opened BigBox Consumer Electronics store is an indication of the fact that ECity’s expansion strategy is on track.  “In the coming months, we will open more ECity stores in different key locations across the UAE to reach out to as many customers as possible and deliver high quality services and the best-in-class customer experience. We are confident that this newly opened store will further boost the performance of ECity, whose growth has doubled over the last three years.”

Dakir also said the store catered to the entire family, with a special section especially for women. “Our aim is to provide a wholesome family experience, and this newly opened branch is a reflection of that,” he added. “The consumer electronics market is growing and ECity is committed to providing the latest and the best products that cater to the changing needs of the customer,” he added.

With a contemporary look and feel, the BigBox store offers the latest innovations in smart gadgets, audio, video, large and small home appliances, personal care products, games and toys, laptops, smartphones, tablets, wearables and cameras.

“Ibn Battuta Mall is a strategic location for us-not only is it centrally located, but it continues to enjoy significantly high footfalls during the year. It is popular with the entire family and we could not think of a better place to open our 10th store,” he added.
