ASUS has officially unleashed its latest gaming monitor called the ROG Swift PG259QN, that is designed for competitive e-sports gaming. The new gaming monitor features an extremely high refresh rate, NVIDIA G-Sync, and a gaming aesthetic design.
The new ROG Swift PG259QN has a 24.5-inch IPS panel with Full HD as its screen resolution. While Full HD might be low for some, it practically makes sense because gamers will need to make sure the game can run to match the fast refresh rate. With 360Hz as its refresh rate at Full HD resolution, it should be easier for graphics cards to handle more framerates for e-sports games. To complement the 360 Hz display, there is also the NVIDIA G-Sync processor that ensures super-smooth and tear-free gameplay. The ROG Swift PG259QN also has 1ms of response time (GTG).
The monitor is primarily meant for games such as Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, Rainbow Six: Siege, Overwatch, Fortnite, and more. The display has a contrast ratio of 1000:1. ASUS has also included an intelligent cooling system with a custom heat sink to ensure the monitor remains cool during gaming marathon sessions. There is also the NVIDIA Ultra Low Motion Blur technology (ULMB) that uses backlight strobing for reducing motion blur, resulting in super-smooth gaming motion visuals. The HDR10 enables the monitor to deliver gaming visuals with a wide color range for more realistic graphics.
The monitor also features an anti-glare coating on the bottom bezel for reducing on-screen reflections and for uninterrupted gameplay. The ROG Swift PG259QN also has its own Aura lighting system ad can be synced with other Aura based products. Users will also be able to take advantage of the smart cable management to keep your gaming desk neat and tidy.
Other features include GamePlus hotkey, the GameVisual display modes, a flicker-free capability to minimize eye-strains, and the ASUS Ultra-Low Blue Light to reduce the blue light emissions in four different stages. The monitor houses an HDMI 2.0 port, a Display Port 1.4, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and two USB 3.0 ports. There is no word yet on when the new gaming monitor will be available and its pricing details.
