Motorolla has officially unveiled its latest foldable smartphone called the Razr 5G, featuring upgraded specifications and as its name implies, comes with 5G capabilities.
The new foldable smartphone comes with a 6.2-inch P-OLED panel, and the screen resolution is 876 x 2142, along with 373 ppi density. There is also a secondary external g-OLED panel on the outer portion of the device, with a screen size of 2.7-inch, and has a screen resolution of 800 x 600. Apps such as camera, calculator, Google Keep, messages, Google Home, and even YouTube will work on the external screen. The screen is protected with Gorilla Glass 5 on the front and backside.
The new smartphone also has support for gesture-based navigation. Motorola mentions that the Razr 5G features a “water repellant design”. The body of the smartphone is made of the 7000 series aluminum frame and a stainless steel hinge. As for the dimensions, the device is 7.9mm thick when unfolded and 16mm thick when its folded. The Motorola Razr 5G weighs about 192g.
The new Razr 5G smartphone gets an impressive upgrade as compared to the previous generation. This time, the new foldable smartphone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G processor with 5G mobile data speeds and works along with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. The smartphone runs on the Android 10 operating system. On the contrary, the 2019 Moto Razr featured a Snapdragon 710 SoC.
The Motorola Razr 5G features a single 48MP camera with a sensor size of 1/2.0″ and has an aperture of F1.7. The camera is capable of video recording up to 4K at 30fps. The front camera consists of a 20MP selfie shooter with 1080p video recording capability at 60fps.
The smartphone comes with a fingerprint scanner that is mounted on its rear side. The device houses a 2800 mAh battery with 15W fast charge capability through the USB Type-C port. The Motorola Razr 5G will release in Polished Graphite, Blush Gold, and Liquid Mercury colors. The device is priced at $1399 (Approx. 5200 AED).
