Huawei Consumer Business Group (CBG) today launched the latest addition to the HUAWEI MateBook line-up, the HUAWEI MateBook X in the UAE. Featuring the series’ signature aesthetics, the HUAWEI MateBook X is Ultra-light and weighs just 1kg. It offers an immersive experience like the 3K Infinite FullView display with full touch screen and latest 10th generation processors and an overall smart experience with Multi-Screen Collaboration as a part of Huawei Share.
This Ultra-portable experience is offered due to its compact design. Weighing just a kg and measuring just 13.6 mm at the thickest part and sports a 13-inch body. Featuring a lightweight aluminium unibody, it is very robust. An advanced spraying process is also employed to produce a smooth finish on the surface, adding elegant style to function.
Inspired by the iridescent mother-of-pearl and glitter powder, HUAWEI MateBook X elevates CMF design to an artform with two glitter-infused colourways: Silver Frost and Forest Green.
The new HUAWEI MateBook X is the first laptop to feature the Infinite FullView Display, realised with a borderless design that offers a 90 percent screen-to-body ratio. The unobstructed screen delivers an immersive experience whether the user is working, creating content or binging on movies.
The display is also multitouch-enabled with gesture support, such as Fingers Gesture Screenshot, which lets users quickly take a screenshot by swiping downwards on the screen with three fingers, as easy as it is on a smartphone.
Huawei offers two eye care features on the HUAWEI MateBook X: Eye Comfort mode effectively filters out blue light emissions to provide eye strain relief during long sessions of use, and Brightness adjustment algorithms ensure a consistent viewing experience no matter if the device is used indoors or under direct sunlight.
The Multi Screen Collaboration feature in Huawei Share enables seamless collaboration between smartphones and PCs. Once a smartphone is connected to HUAWEI MateBook X, the smartphone screen is integrated into the laptop with a picture-in-picture window. In addition to easy drag-and-drop file transfer, this feature allows the PC to directly open and edit files on the smartphone. Instant Hotspot provides one-step access to Internet via tethering. And during break-time at work, users can catch up with family and friends by video or audio calling them conveniently from the laptop.
To facilitate a smarter mobile office experience, Huawei introduces new upgrades to Multi-Screen Collaboration. The improved Multi-Screen Collaboration not only allows you to mirror your smartphone screen to your laptop’s display, but also lets you open up to three mobile apps at the same time for multitasking, resulting in greater efficiency and productivity.
HUAWEI MateBook X is the first to feature a clickpad with HUAWEI Free Touch. The improved clickpad offers a more expansive space for navigation and creative expressions and supports haptic feedback for a more tactile experience. The Huawei Share tag is now incorporated within the clickpad, providing easy access to the Multi-Screen Collaboration feature.
Featuring a 10th Generation Intel Core i5 processor and up to 16GB RAM, the HUAWEI MateBook X delivers the essential performance to support a smooth experience across typical productivity and multimedia use cases. Wi-Fi 6 support ensures Internet connection stays fast and stable even in crowded locations, with speeds up to three times of Wi-Fi 5.
HUAWEI MateBook X offers incredible battery life with its 42Wh (rated capacity) battery. This works seamlessly with Huawei’s smart battery management solution to support up to 9 hours of local media playback or typical productivity scenarios.
For movie lovers, the laptop comes with the powerful quad-speaker system with split-frequency setup delivering rich 3D audio directly from under the keyboard. A dual-microphone array on the edge incorporates algorithms to support long distance sound pickup for better voice capture that improves the user experience in video calls and virtual conference meetings.
User privacy is protected by the Fingerprint Power Button, which combines the fingerprint reader with the power button to securely authenticate user identity when the device is switched on, effectively replacing the login password on the Windows Welcome screen. Further on privacy, the unique recessed camera design affords peace of mind for users by embedding the camera into a key cap that is easily accessible and pops up only when required by the user.
xHUAWEI MateBook X will be available in Forest Green and Silver Frost colour variants and is priced at 5,499 AED. Pre-orders start on October 8th and it comes with free gifts worth 1,299 AED including: HUAWEI FreeBuds 3, HUAWEI MateBoox X Leather Sleeve and HUAWEI MateDock 2.
HUAWEI MateBook X Pro
The HUAWEI MateBook X is also joined by the HUAWEI MateBook X Pro, which boasts an Ultra FullView Display in a sleek and elegant unibody design. The HUAWEI MateBook X Pro also comes in an elegant colour of Emerald Green and packs innovative features like Multi-screen collaboration as a part of Huawei Share. In addition to this, it has 10th generation CPUs for professional performance and an all-day long battery life with a portable charger. The power button also doubles as a fingerprint sensor for easy login while the recessed camera provides privacy protection when not in use. This is all topped off with a Quad-speaker setup for immersive audio along with 4 mics for a better listening experience.
HUAWEI MateBook X Pro will be available in Forest Green and Sliver Frost colour variants and is priced at 6,499 AED and will be available on-shelf from October 22nd.
