Samsung Gulf Electronics today announced that the brands’ Future Academy, a dedicated educational program that equips students with future-proof skills and competencies, is bringing a first-of-its kind Machine Learning, Introduction to Artificial Intelligence (AI) course to the UAE.
As part of Samsung’s vision to inspire the world and help shape the future, youth residents across the country aged between 18 and 35 – who have an educational background and are interested in pursuing a career supported by the knowledge of AI – are being presented with a unique opportunity to broaden their knowledge and enhance their skillsets.
Held under the theme ‘Be ready for tomorrow by learning about it today’, practical education in relevant technologies through online-based modules will be provided over the five-week duration, with official certifications upon completion.

Following an introduction to AI and machine learning, successful applicants will benefit from interactions with an expert instructor, as well as live online sessions, to develop a clear understanding of industry processes. The course will be delivered through a blended learning, self-paced format, with participants given exercises for each module and access to content presentations and pre-recorded videos covering statistics, algorithms, and programming.
By the end of the course, students will be able to understand the statistical and mathematical foundation of machine learning, comprehend the basics of Python and the libraries used for machine learning algorithms, apply these algorithms to real data sets, and build projects while following the data science lifecycle. In order to achieve a certificate of completion, participants will also be expected to complete a final quiz to demonstrate their progress.

Limited spaces are available, and applicants will be informed if they have been successful no later than November 2nd. Past completion of high school level STEM courses or higher education is an entry requirement, as is proficiency in linear algebra and the basics of programming, calculus, and the probability theory.
