Xiaomi has officially announced its latest smartphone called the Redmi Note 9T 5G. The new smartphone has a similar design and specifications to the recently announced Redmi Note 9 5G, which was only meant for the Chinese market.
The new smartphone holds a large 6.53-inch IPS display with Full HD resolution. While the display only comes with a standard 60Hz refresh rate, the screen can output brightness of 450 nits. The display also features a punch-hole camera on the top left side that houses a 13MP selfie snapper with f/2.25 as its aperture.
The device also comes with three cameras on its rear side. The main snapper features a 48MP Quad-Bayer mobile sensor with f1.8 as its aperture. The other two cameras pack 2MP sensors each for macro and depth-sensing functionality. On the contrary, the Redmi Note 9 5G had an ultra-wide shooter, which is not present on the Note 9T 5G. That said, the new smartphone comes powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 800U SoC, paired with 6GB RAM. The internal storage is either 64GB or 128GB.
The smartphone is also splash-proof and comes with dual-speakers. The Redmi Note 9T 5G also packs a large 5000 mAh battery and brings support for 18W fast charge. Xiaomi mentions that the battery can last for three years of continuous use without any degradation in battery performance. The device will come in Daybreak Purple and Nightfall Black colors. We will update you once the new smartphone hits the UAE.
