The Outdoor Cam Pro is the latest iteration from Ring that features enhanced 4K video and detection capabilities. We take a look at the new Ring Outdoor Cam Pro, and here are our thoughts about it.
The new Outdoor Cam Pro’s design are quite similar as its predecessors. The device features a dimension of 2.8 inches x 5.7 inches x 2.8 inches (including the stand base and mounting plate). Ring offers the new security camera in both black and white colors, and we received the latter model for review.
The front-facing portion of the device features the familiar black color, along with the main camera lens in the middle. There is also the Ring logo and the speaker holes located below the camera lens.
The camera can be mounted on the wall, hanging from the ceiling, or kept as as a tabletop mount. You will also be able to adjust the standing angle of the device. The device is also weather-resistant to withstand rain and other climatic changes. The device is considered to be a hybrid of both an indoor and outdoor smart security camera.
The rear side of the camera is also white in color, along with the barcode to set up the device, the USB-C port connection, and different mounting options.
The USB-C is placed in such a way that it is hidden from outside view. The included USB-C cable and the power adapter are also white in color to match the camera.

And thanks to the radar-powered 3D Motion Detection, the camera can provide accurate alerts that are tailored to your home. You will be able to map out zones and choose to focus and monitor a particular section of an area. Setting up the Ring Outdoor Cam Pro is easy and straightforward with the Ring app. You can also subscribe to Ring’s Protect Plan that offers up to 180 days of video history, AI video descriptions, tagging family and friends, AI-based event alerts, and more.
