Lenovo has announced the launch of the new Yoga Book. The company is touting it to be the world’s thinnest and lightest 2-in-1 device. Debuting across all major retailers from December 1, 2016, the Yoga Book is designed for unrivalled productivity, creativity and mobility.
Featuring the Halo Keyboard, a full touch screen backlit keyboard that allows for a comfortable writing experience without the use of a physical keyboard, a real-pen accessory for creative content creation, the Yoga Book also comes with a battery life of 15 hours and a 360-degree watchband hinge comparable to the mobility of a smartphone.
The Yoga Book is robust in build, possessing two panels that open up like an ultrathin notebook and is the lightest in the world at 690 grams. The Yoga Book boasts a 10.1-inch IPS FHD screen, high-quality sound enhanced with Dolby Atmos and a 64GB memory.
The Halo Keyboard is the Yoga Book’s first productivity feature and is made with glass that was meticulously chosen to give a rough, matte feel and finish, along with an anti-glare coating to ensure the best possible touch-typing experience. The Halo Keyboard comes with a built-in prediction and an artificial learning software that optimizes productivity by trimming errors.
The flush surface of the Halo Keyboard feature also allows for a few additional uses when paired with the Yoga Book’s standard real-pen accessory, a dual-use stylus. The dual-use stylus is inspired by the elegance and simplicity of real notebooks. Consumers are now able to write with the real-pen accessory that holds real ink tips onto a piece of paper or notepad covering the multi-use keyboard panel where everything is instantly digitized and saved onto the device. Lenovo re-created the natural feel of drawing flat on a paper surface instead of directly onto a computer screen.
Using and managing several applications on the Yoga Book at the same time is now possible with the Book UI feature. This feature allows several apps to run at once through multiple windows that can be pinned, maximized or minimized owing to the powerful Intel Atom X5 processor and 4GB of memory. The Yoga Book is available with Android and Windows 10 software.
The Yoga Book is priced at AED 2,199 for both the Android and Windows version. It will be available through all major retailers in the UAE.
Mohammed Hilili, General Manager of Lenovo Gulf & KSA, commented: ‘’We are excited to launch the Yoga Book in the UAE, a device that is not a tablet, laptop or notebook. It is the ideal solution providing productivity, creativity and entertainment for anybody, from students, graphic designers to entrepreneurs. New features such as the Halo Keyboard, real-pen accessory and Book UI will transform the consumer experience. We have worked closely with professionals from different industries to truly understand and meet the rapid evolution of the consumer needs.’’
