Have you ever wanted to listen to your favourite songs while in the shower? Well, GROHE and Philips have a gadget right for you and it’s aptly called Aquatunes. Aquatunes it is waterproof Bluetooth speaker that can pair with your smartphone or tablet, thereby allowing you to listen to your favourite music, radio station or any other source of audio, while you are in the shower.

The device also comes with a universal shower rail adapter for shower rails measuring 20-25mm – so you can just fix it up and enjoy music without having to worry about anything. The device charges through an induction charging station and the company claims it offers 8 hours of music playback on a single charge.

Pairing the device is as easy as pairing any Bluetooth device to your smartphone or tablet. Once paired, you can either control the music from your smartphone or tablet or you can use the buttons on top of the device to go to specific tracks. Volume controls are also built onto the device.

There are also two LEDs on the device that shows the status of the Bluetooth connection, whether the loudspeaker is on as well as the battery status. The Aquatunes provides you a coverage of up to 30 feet when connected through Bluetooth.

The GROHE Philips Aquatunes is quite brilliant in terms of design and build quality. The speaker itself is designed like a showerhead and hence will fit right into the decor of your bathroom.

The overall audio performance of the Aquatunes is quite good. At a price tag of AED 550, it certainly isn’t cheap. But if you are looking for a waterproof speaker for listening to music while you shower, the GROHER Philips Aquatunes could be a good buy.
