Clikat, a Dubai based startup co-founded by five entrepreneurs, has recently launched its home needs service application to provide residents of Dubai with a one-stop solution for meeting their home requirements with a click of a button. The idea of the new Clikat mobile application launched on the 6th of October was inspired by the problem of time wasting during weekends to get household requirements met.
“It helps residents enjoy their weekends and spare the time spent in shopping for family activities, while Clikat delivers the home needs. This innovative solution is not just a mobile application; it aims to foster family bonds,” said the company in a statement. By leveraging technologies in a useful way, the application is currently serving the residents of Dubai, with expansion plans to cover the UAE by the mid of 2017.
The application connects users to local professional service providers to fulfill their home needs. It covers 12 categories namely: grocery delivery from nearest supermarkets, laundry, home appliances delivery, sweets and nuts delivery, flowers and gift delivery, party arrangements, babysitting, cleaning services, maintenance services, sports and fitness, photography services and beauty salon.
Commenting on the Clikat application, Khalid Al Huwaidi, one of the Co-founders, said: “Users can choose from the service categories and order their required home services on the Clikat application that provides a price-list for services. A local service provider will be sent to their homes at the required time. Users can also choose the preferred payment method whether by cash on delivery, or by credit cards.”
“Residents around Dubai showed great interest in the Clikat Application since its launch. The application exceeded 10,000 downloads, and appeared within just three weeks from its launch at the top trending shopping category in Play Store,” he added. The application includes features such as barcode scanner, compare product price form multiple suppliers, multi-product search, live support 24/7, order tracking, loyalty points, supplier rate and review, order scheduler and more.
“The five co-founders of Clikat come from different business backgrounds, creating the needed harmony to invent the most reliable application in the market that provides comprehensive home services. Currently, the project is being funded completely by the co-founders, and Clikat is looking forward to present its innovative application throughout the entire MENA region,” said the company. The app is immediately available for iOS and Android devices.
