Kyocera Rafre Next Gen is the second generation smartphone that is equipped with various specification improvements as compared to its predecessor. There is nothing peculiar about the smartphone’s technical specifications. However, what makes Kyocera Rafre Next Gen an unusual smartphone is its unique feature.
The phenomenal smartphone is not only soak resistant or water resistant – it can also be washed. Kyocera Rafre Next Gen’s display touchscreen can be operated and used to open menus when the smartphone is being washed.
The smartphone’s manufacturer says the Rafre can be washed with soap until bubbly, and can be used normally even when the display screen is wet. The smartphone is also resilient to hot water. The Kyocera Rafre Next Gen will have no problem if you accidentally dropped the smartphone while you take a hot bath.
The Kyocera Rafre Next Gen is equipped with five-inch screen that supports HD resolution (720p), 2G RAM, and internal memory 0f 16GB that can be upgraded to 200GB using miroSD card. The smartphone’s main camera is a 13-megapixel camera with Kyocera’s own camera module and Ainos image processing, and phase detection autofocus (PDAF). Its front camera has five-megapixel resolution.
The smartphone uses Android v7.0 nougat as processor, and is supported by a 3,000 mAh battery. Kyocera Rafre Next Gen is available in Japan through operator KDDI, and is marketed in pale pink, clear white, and light blue colour variants. However, it is not yet known whether this unique smartphone will be marketed to other countries.
