This could represent the company’s genuine attempt at once again showing the industry how it’s done. Interestingly, Apple CEO Tim Cook has repeatedly stressed the importance of augmented reality and its limitless application in the tech industry.
This has led to such speculation that the company could finally look to meet its AR ambitions with the release of its first ever smart glasses. Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality evangelist, Robert Scoble has admitted that the idea of an iGlass appearing in the market might not be as far-fetched as you think. In a recent interview, Scobel admitted that sources at the highest levels have strongly tipped Apple to team up with Carl Zeiss to develop the most powerful smart glasses that the industry has ever experienced.
Scoble has also suggested that the Cupertino Company owe it to Steve Jobs’s legacy to think outside the box and bring something new to the market. Although the tech giant is busy preparing the launch of its highly-anticipated ‘tenth-anniversary’ iPhone model, Apple could not go wrong by making a surprise announcement along with its next flagship smartphone device.
