OPPO has launched the F5, the first OPPO full-screen device featuring the A.I. Beauty Recognition technology. This technology is designed to personalise and enhance a selfie image, taking it to a whole new level of quality. The phone is priced at AED 1199.
The company also launched two other models, which will be available later on. These include the F5 6GB edition and the F5 Youth. The F5 is already available in India, Russia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, Thailand, and Vietnam.
The F5 comes packed with OPPO’s A.I. Beauty Recognition technology that gathers information and learns the specific facial features of different people from its global image database of human faces. According to the company, professional photographers and make-up artists were consulted during the R&D process, resulting in the A.I. technology which makes selfies look so much more attractive.
The F5 comes packed with a 20MP front camera that offers an F2.0 aperture. It also comes with a 16MB rear camera with F1.8 aperture. The phone is capable of delivering Bokeh effects and resolving any over-exposure issues thanks to front HDR.
The F5 is OPPO’s first 6.0-inch full-screen FHD+ display device. It features a high-resolution 2160-by-1080 screen with an 18:9 aspect ratio. The F5 also includes its Facial Unlock feature. This is a face recognition technology, which is used to unlock the phone. For users who prefer the fingerprint unlock function, the fingerprint reader is now on the back of the phone.
The phone runs on Android 7.1 Nougat OS with OPPO’s very own Color OS 3.2 on top of it. Under the hood, the phone is powered by a 2.5GHz MediaTek processor with 4GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. The internal storage can be further expanded to up to 256GB via microSD card.
The phone comes with a triple slot tray that supports two Nano cards and one TF card simultaneously. The phone accompanies a O-share file sharing technology, which OPPO claims is 100 times faster than Bluetooth. The F5 is powered by a 3200Ah battery. The 4GB RAM and 32GB internal storage model will be available at AED 1,199, while the 6GB and 64GB internal storage version will be available at AED 1,399, starting November 17, 2017.
