HyperX, which is the gaming section of Kingston, has officially announced its latest range of HyperX Impact DDR4 SODIMM chips for laptops and small PC’s. The new memories come in single modules as well as different kit configurations, starting from 8GB and up to 64GB.
“The new Impact DDR4 SODIMM utilizes the latest technology to offer high performance coupled with maximum reliability,” said Kristy Ernt, DRAM business manager, HyperX. “The Plug N Play functionality of HyperX Impact DDR4 SODIMM memory increases overall performance in notebooks and small form factor PCs for people to maximize performance across applications.”
The new HyperX Impact DDR4 SODIMM comes with a Plug N Play feature that does automatic overclocking to the peak frequency within the system stability. This avoids the need for the user to do any sort of manual tuning. Then new HyperX Impact DDR4 SODIMM is not only ready for Intel XMP systems but is also compatible with AMD Ryzen processors.
The company mentions that the demand for notebooks has increased dramatically since work from home and online classes for students has come to effect. Michael Lagoni, CEO of leading retail intelligence firm Stackline noted, “In August, eCommerce sales in the notebook category grew more than 37.2 percent over the previous year, which is continuing to show signs that this accelerated demand will continue over the longer-term.”
The HyperX Impact DDR4 SODIMM modules are designed and tuned to offer higher performance with lower power consumption, thereby optimizing notebook performance. Thanks to the standard DDR4 voltage at 1.2V, along with Plug N Play automatic OC, and less power consumption, the heat dissipated is less, resulting in a quiet computing experience.
The HyperX Impact SODIMM DDR4 memories come in single modules in 4GB, 8GB, 16GB, and 32GB, kit of two in 8GB, 16GB, 32GB, 64GB, and kit of four in 16GB and 32GB capacities. The speed frequencies are 2400MHz, 2666MHz, 2933MHz, and 3200MHz. The memory latencies are CL14, CL15, CL16, CL17, and CL20.
