As CES 2021 draws closer, gaming brands are gearing up to unveil their latest products. ASUS has officially posted teasers for their upcoming ROG and TUFF series gaming laptops.
With this year’s CES 2021 going all-online, we may not see any of the usual hands-on previews by journalists. While ASUS not officially confirmed the specifications of these new laptops, word has it that the new machines would feature a choice of Intel’s 11 generation processors or the AMD Ryzen 5000 series ZEN 3 based mobile processors. The new laptops are also said to be equipped with mobile editions of the GeForce RTX 30 series GPUs. There were already several leaks of these systems and one of them is called the TUF Gaming FX516PM. It’s expected to feature the Intel Core i7-11370H processor with 16GB RAM, 512GB SSD, and the RTX 3060 GPU. The processor used here is expected to hit turbo clocks up to 4.8 GHz.

Expect new machines to feature processors up to the 8-core/16-thread Ryzen 9 5900H processor, which has a base clock speed of 3.3GHz and boost clocks up to 4.6GHz. The new ROG Strix series is also expected to come with RAM options up to 32GB and storage up to 1TB SSD. The new laptops are also said to pack GPUs up to RTX 3080, along with other display features such as 300Hz 1080p screens, 165Hz 2K displays, and 60Hz 4K panels.
