Zoom announced new video SDK capabilities that will allow developers to build video-based applications and websites with fully customizable, native user interfaces on top of Zoom’s platform.
According to research in the Middle East, the media and entertainment market was valued at USD 35.11 Billion in 2020, and is expected to reach a valuation of USD 69.83 Billion by 2026, growing at a CAGR or 12.79% between 2021 and 2026.
Video communication creates endless possibilities for engagement and collaboration, which is why Zoom released their Video Software Development Kit (SDK). Second and third party developers are able to leverage the Video SDK to create new and exciting experiences that drive customer engagement and provide new opportunities for revenue.
Few of the potential types of experiences that developers can build using our Video SDK:
- Social – Developers can integrate Zoom’s functionality into social media applications to create reliable and engaging communications experiences, such as on-the-go live streaming with interactive chat.
- Gaming – Using Zoom’s HD video and audio and interactive features, developers can build desktop gaming apps that offer new opportunities for audience engagement.
- Retail – Organizations can leverage our interactive features to create unique shopping experiences that are tailored to the customer and drive revenue.
Using our Video SDK, developers can enhance their customers’ experience, creating applications and functionalities that reduce friction in the user experience, provide opportunities for audience engagement, and improve accessibility.
As an example of what’s possible with our Video SDK, Lingmo, a cloud-based AI translation software provider, leveraged our Video SDK to build Lingmo Captions, which provides instant translated captions for meetings. This application not only enables communication between people who speak different languages, but also enhances the user experience by providing additional opportunities for engagement.
“Zoom’s fully customizable Video SDK was a good fit for us because it worked seamlessly with our technology and enabled us to assist enterprise customers in a new way. Zoom’s Video SDK allowed us to accelerate the development of our solution, and gave us the flexibility to enhance our product offering for our customers.” said Danny May, CEO & Co-Founder, Lingmo International.
