OnePlus has officially unveiled a new smartphone called the Nord CE 2 5G (Core Edition), a cut-down version of the Nord 2 5G that was released in 2021.
The Nord CE 2 comes with a 6.43-inch AMOLED display that features a 90Hz refresh rate for smooth graphics. The device also boasts a slightly slimmer body (7.8mm thick) as compared to the Nord 2 5G. What’s interesting is that the new device comes with a headphone jack and a MicroSD card slot, something that the Nord 2 lacked, despite having a thicker body.
The rear side of the smartphone features a large camera island, where you will find a 64MP main camera, an 8MP sensor for ultra-wide shots, and a 2MP shooter for macro photography. The front-facing selfie camera on the Nord CE 2 5G packs a 16MP sensor, as compared to the 32MP selfie camera of the Nord 2 5G. OnePlus also chipped the new Nord CE 2 5G with the Dimensity 900 SoC and 6GB/8GB RAM configurations, along with 128GB of internal storage. The device runs on Android 11 OS and is mixed with Oxygen OS 11.3 user interface.
The device also houses a large 4500 mAh battery and features a 65W SuperVOOC fast charging capability. Users will have a choice of two colors- Gray Mirror and Bahama Blue. The new OnePlus Nord CE 2 5G is expected to hit the UAE stores soon.
