Review: Lenovo Yoga Tab Plus (2025)

User Rating: 9.2

Lenovo introduced the new Yoga Tab Plus recently as part of its 2025 line-up of high-end tablets, and we got a chance to try it out. Here are our thoughts about the new tablet.

For many years, Lenovo has designed some of the best-looking Android tablets on the market, and the new Yoga Tab Plus. The display of the tablet sports a 12.7-inch PureSight Pro anti-reflective panel, featuring a sharp screen resolution of 2944×1840 (3K), and excellent viewing angles. The display also sports a slightly wider 16:10 aspect ratio, 900 nits of peak brightness, and a decent contrast ratio of 1500:1.

Lenovo offers the Yoga Tab Plus with two case color options: Seashell and Tidal teal colors, and as you can see, we got the Tidal teal model for review. There is the Lenovo logo on the rear side and a camera bump on the top rear side with the YOGA branding. As for the camera setup, the front-facing camera houses a 13MP sensor with a 101-degree wide-angle lens. The rear camera setup includes a 13MP shooter with AF, and a 2MP fixed-focus snapper.

The tablet features a dimension of 290.91 x 188.3 x 6.69 mm, and the device weighs only 640 g, which is quite lightweight for a large-sized tablet. The power button is located on the left side, along with the volume rockers on the top, and the USB-C port on the right side. The speaker holes are located on either side of the device. You can also see the keyboard connector pins on the bottom side of the tablet. We should also mention that the power button also doubles as a fingerprint scanner.

The speaker system comprises of two solo tweeters and four SLS subwoofers, all with support for Dolby Atmos. The tablet comes bundled with both the Lenovo 2-in-1 Keyboard Pack and the Lenovo Tab Pen Pro. While the keyboard comes with the same Tidal teal color, the smart pen is silver in color.

The keyboard is pleasant to type on and features the usual keycap design that is found in almost all Lenovo laptops. We were a bit disappointed that the keyboard does not come with a backlit system. While the size of the touchpad isn’t large in size, it is big enough for decent usage. When connecting the keyboard to the tablet, the Yoga Tab Plus automatically shows the option to switch to PC mode. You can switch back and forth between tablet and PC mode at any time, and the mode change just takes hardly a few seconds.

We really liked the PC mode of the Lenovo Yoga Tab Plus, as it provides a near-desktop experience. The UI of the PC mode features a taskbar on the bottom, where there is the app launcher icon and the standard navigation buttons on the left side, along with a quick search magnifier, battery capacity, settings, and more on the right side. You can easily open multiple applications, and it has the minimize, maximize, and close icons, just as you would find on a Windows system.

The tablet comes powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC and teamed with sufficient 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM, and 256GB of internal storage. The device comes with Android 14 OS out of the box, with Lenovo’s custom ZUI 16.1.11 user interface. Thanks to the performance of the chip and with more than sufficient memory, the performance of the tablet is fast and snappy, even when using the device with PC mode enabled. Lenovo also mentions that the tablet is scheduled to receive up to three major OS upgrades, all the way to the future Android 17 OS.

We also ran some benchmarks, such as Antutu, 3DMark, Geekbench AI, and Geekbench 6. Take a look at the scores below.

The tablet is compatible with the Share Hub, where users can transfer files between Lenovo devices, and the Cross Control feature, where you can control multiple Lenovo devices with the same keyboard and mouse. There is also the Lenovo Notepad’s AI writing tools that help to enhance your editing experiences.

The tablet comes with a large 10200 mAh battery onboard and with support for 45W quick charge. We were impressed with the battery capability of the tablet, where there was almost 80 percent of battery left when the tablet was not used for 2 weeks. The tablet easily lasts over a day or more, depending on the usage. As for the wireless capabilities of the device, the tablet features Bluetooth 5.4 and dual-band WiFi 7 connectivity.

Verdict

If you are looking for a powerful tablet that can also replace your traditional laptops and also provide a desktop-like experience, then the 2025 Lenovo Yoga Tab Plus is a great choice to consider. The tablet comes a large 12.7-inch PureSight Pro display with anti-reflective coating and 3K as a screen resolution. The screen also comes with a 16:10 aspect ratio and 900 nits brightness. The tablet is only 6.69 mm thick, and weighs only 640 g. There are speaker grills placed on either side of the device.

The tablet comes with the Lenovo 2-in-1 Keyboard Pack and the Lenovo Tab Pen Pro. The tablet can switch between the tablet mode and PC mode seamlessly when connected with the keyboard. The device runs on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC and Android 14 OS, along with 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB of internal storage. The internal 10200 mAh battery comes with support for 45W fast charge and can easily last over a day of continuous usage.
