Samsung has begun the global rollout of its latest lineup of smart refrigerators, expanding its “Screens Everywhere” vision announced at CES 2025. This new range includes 9-inch AI Home screens on select 4-Door, 4-Door French Door, and Side-by-Side refrigerators, along with upgraded Family Hub screens on certain French Door models. Enhanced AI Vision Inside technology improves food recognition and streamlines meal planning for a smarter kitchen experience.
“With more fridge types and screen options, we’re giving consumers flexibility while delivering an advanced AI-powered experience,” said Jeong Seung Moon, EVP and Head of R&D for Samsung’s Digital Appliances.
These refrigerators are designed around four pillars: Food, Home, Family Communication, and Entertainment. The updated AI Vision Inside now recognizes 37 food items, including processed foods, and suggests saving frequently stored items. With up to 50 saved items, users receive tailored recipe ideas and meal plans.
Beyond food management, these refrigerators serve as central smart home hubs. Users can control appliances using Map View, monitor energy usage through SmartThings Energy, and interact with Bixby voice commands. The new Daily Board displays updates like weather, schedules, and energy reports, while recognizing individual voices for personalized responses.
Family-oriented features include a shared gallery for photos, voice-accessible calendars, and communication tools that keep everyone connected. On the entertainment front, the refrigerators support Spotify, SmartView Mirroring, and photo displays, making the kitchen a more enjoyable space.
The 4-Door Refrigerator introduces Hybrid Cooling technology, combining traditional compressors with a Peltier module to maintain temperature stability during heavy use. Its slim Kitchen Fit design allows easy installation, while SpaceMax insulation increases internal capacity.
Launched first in North America, the 4-Door French Door Refrigerator offers multiple screen options and convenient features like Auto Open Door and a Beverage Center with a 1.4L Auto-Fill Pitcher. The Side-by-Side model also includes AI screens and Hybrid Cooling, offering accessible storage and organization.
All models include AI Energy Mode, which can cut energy usage by up to 10%. Users can activate it based on consumption patterns or monthly cost targets.
