PUBG MOBILE celebrated its eighth anniversary with its most ambitious live event to date, transforming the iconic Pyramids of Giza into an immersive, real-world PUBG MOBILE battleground, holding one of the first gaming events of its kind at the Pyramids.
Welcoming more than 5,000 attendees, the one-night-only spectacle fused gaming, live entertainment and culture, showcasing PUBG MOBILE’s position as one of the most influential forces in digital entertainment. With this event, PUBG MOBILE has set a new benchmark for large-scale gaming and entertainment experiences in the MENA region.
Set against one of the world’s most recognisable landmarks, the PUBG MOBILE 8th Anniversary Event delivered a dynamic journey through the game’s past, present and future. The experience was anchored by PUBG MOBILE World, a fully interactive venue designed as a real-life game map. Guests entered through a cinematic helmet-inspired tunnel before embarking on a mission-led journey across eight immersive zones, each inspired by iconic PUBG MOBILE eras and environments. From the icy landscapes of Frosty Funland to the adrenaline-fuelled Zombie Zone each space brought gameplay to life in immersive detail.
At the heart of the celebration, the main stage delivered a high-impact entertainment programme combining music, esports, and performances. A stunning headline set from Egyptian rap sensation Wegz lit up the arena, while performances from globally renowned performers, including The Mayyas, winners of America’s Got Talent, and international DJ Mahmut Orhan, elevated the atmosphere, alongside exciting live esports and immersive cosplay competitions.
The event also featured a high-energy PUBG MOBILE Showmatch, where eight players competed in a solo format to crown the ultimate “GOAT.”
Designed to inspire aspiring players, the match highlighted the accessibility of PUBG MOBILE’s esports ecosystem and its pathway to competitive play.
The competition was supported by a $5,000 prize pool, awarded to:
