Infinix Note 8

Infinix has officially introduced two of its latest Note series of smartphones called the Note 8 and the Note 8i. The new devices come powered by the MediaTek Helio G80 SoC.

The new Infinix smartphones are quite similar with respect to specifications. The Infinix Note 8 comes with a large 6.95-inch IPS Infinity-O display but with a modest screen resolution of 1640 x 720. The display comes with a screen brightness of 480 nits. The Infinix Note 8i is not much different and features the same screen resolution. However, it comes with a slightly smaller 6.78-inch Infinity-O display. The Note 8i comes with a lower brightness of 264 nits. Both the displays come with Corning Gorilla Glass protection. The new Note 8 and the Note 8i comes with a thickness of 9mm and 8.9mm, respectively.

The Note 8 and its lower counterpart, the Note 8i, is powered by the MediaTek Helio G80 processor, an octa-core processor with six Cortex A55 cores clocked at 1.8GHz, and two Cortex A75 cores clocked at 2GHz speeds. Both the devices also come with 128GB of internal storage and 6GB of RAM under its hood. The new smartphones run on Android 10 OS, blended with XOS 7.1 user interface. You also get a dedicated slot for MicroSD cards to expand the internal storage on both smartphones.

The Infinix Note 8 and the Note 8i packs four different optical shooters on its rear side. The Note 8 has the main camera featured with a 64MP camera, followed by a trio of 2MP cameras. One of the 2MP cameras is meant for portraits, one for macro photography, and for a so-called AI Lens which helps for better autofocus performances. The three 2MP cameras are also there on the Infinix Note 8i. However, the main camera is a 48MP shooter. The smartphones also feature quad-LED flash. On the front side of things, the Note 8 comes with a 16MP selfie snapper, and the Note 8i with a lower 8MP front-facing camera.

The smartphones also come with a 3.5mm audio jack, along with Bluetooth 5.0, WiFi 802.11ac, and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. The new devices also comes with a Face Unlock capability. Interestingly, both the smartphones hold a 5200 mAh battery under its hood with support for 18W fast charge through its USB Type-C port. The battery comes with the Power Marathon Tech for improved battery endurance. The new Infinix Note 8 and Note 8i comes in gray, blue, and green colors.
