Students visiting GITEX Shopper have not only been snapping up the latest smartphones, tablets and laptops for all their schooling needs, they’ve also been submitting their best report cards to win a highly valued university scholarship being awarded each day of the show, thanks to an innovative initiative launched by Amity University.
Two lucky students, Syed Basheer from Gulf Indian High School and Sakina Kesaria from Indian High School Dubai, collected their scholarships earlier this week, after submitting school reports with the highest marks on the respective days they visited GITEX Shopper, scooping two of the eight scholarships available worth AED 35,000 each and applicable to any Bachelor’s Degree offered by Amity University.
Eligibility is open to all students who have passed Grade 11, and who visit GITEX Shopper with a special promotional student ticket priced at AED10. Candidates are asked to complete an entry form at the Amity University stall at GITEX Shopper and submit their report cards either in hardcopy or via email, with winners to be notified post event after marks are verified by the admissions team at Amity University Dubai.
GITEX Shopper 2014 runs until 4 October and is open from 11:00am – 11:00pm every day, with a host of big name brands and power retailers vying to outbid each other with the hottest deals and the lowest prices on over 30,000 products and gadgets. Regular entry tickets are AED 30 and are available at the venue and from selected Emarat outlets. Entry is free for children below the age of five.
