With the announcement of the Galaxy Watch 3 expected in next month, a lot of information regarding the smart wearables have come from trusted sources. The information comes as an exclusive from SamMobile and for starters, the device is expected to arrive with two different screen sizes- one with a 1.2-inch screen and the other with a bigger 1.4-inch display.
Along with the different screen sizes, the smartwatch is rumored to feature a watch size of 41mm and 45mm. Both models are expected to feature a stainless-steel body and titanium-based variants. Some of the specifications include LTE connectivity and GPS, along with the IP68 water resistance and MIL-810G. It’s also rumored that Samsung will be bringing back the rotating bezel that used to be there on previous smartwatches (excluding the Samsung Galaxy Watch Active and Galaxy Watch Active 2). Rumors also state that the two versions of the Galaxy Watch 3 will come in dimensions of 45 x 46.2 x 11.1mm and 41 x 42.5 x 11.3. The screens are expected to feature Corning Gorilla Glass DX for scratch resistance.
Other features expected are the inclusion of a heart-rate sensor with the support of 8 pulse-reading photodiodes, monitoring of blood pressure, and an ECG sensor. It’s not evident if the ECG feature will be available at the launch of the Galaxy Watch 3 for early users. The Galaxy Watch 3 is expected to have a battery capacity of 247 mAh for the 41mm model, and a 340 mAh battery for the 45mm model. Both the models are expected to feature 1GB of RAM and will operate with the Tizen OS 5.5.
Apart from the official announcement of the Galaxy Watch 3, Samsung is expected to announce its next iteration of the Note series called the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 and a new Galaxy Fold 2 at the Samsung Unpacked event secluded to be held on August 5th, 2020.
