Realme announces Narzo 30 Pro with 5G and 120Hz display, also unveils Narzo 30A budget smartphone

Realme has officially announced two new smartphones of its Narzo 30 series, one of which is the flagship Narzo 30 Pro, and the other is the Narzo 30A budget model. The high-end smartphone aims at offering better gaming, high-speed connectivity, and great camera performance, while the budget model features a large battery.

The new Realme Narzo 30 Pro is touted to be the “most powerful 5G gaming mid-ranger”. The device is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 800U processor, featuring dual Cortex A76 cores clocked at 2.4GHz and six Cortex A55 cores, along with a Mali G57 GPU. The smartphone packs a large 6.5-inch display with 1080p+ as its screen resolution. The display also features a fast 120Hz refresh rate. The device will switch between 60Hz and 120Hz modes depending on the content played on the screen. The screen also comes with a fast 180Hz touch sampling rate. Along with that is the bright 600 nits of brightness that the screen can do.

The Realme Narzo 30 Pro comes equipped with a 48MP main camera and is backed with an F/1.8 aperture lens. The camera also comes with a Super Nightscape mode for enhanced low-light performance. The camera is also capable of recording videos up to 4K at 30fps, along with support for UIS video stabilization. And then comes the 8MP sensor for ultra-wide shots and the 2MP shooter for macro photography.  The front-facing selfie camera features a 16MP sensor, also with a Super Nightscape mode for night-time selfies.

The new Narzo 30 Pro is the first in the series to come with 5G capabilities. The device comes in a 6GB RAM/ 64GB internal storage model and an 8GB RAM/ 128GB storage model. The internal storage is based on UFS 2.1 memory and users can expand the storage with a MicroSD card. The smartphone runs on Android 10 out of the box. However, the company stated that they are working on an update to Android 11 OS with Realme UI 2.0.

The device also packs a large 5000 mAh battery and the bundled 30W fast charger can fill nearly 50% of the battery in just 25 minutes. Realme claims that the device can last up to 37 hours of calls in full charge. The device also comes with a 3.5mm audio jack.

The Realme Narzo 30A is the new budget model, also featuring a 6.5-inch display but with 720p+ screen resolution. The peak brightness hits 570 nits and the refresh rate is only 60Hz. The Narzo 30A comes powered by the Helio G85 SoC and is backed with Mali G52 GPU. The chipset is joined by 3GB RAM and 32GB of internal storage. There will also be a 4GB RAM/ 64GB model.

The smartphone also has a 13MP main shooter on the rear side that can record 1080p videos at 30fps, along with a black and white depth sensor. The front camera houses an 8MP image sensor. The device also packs a larger 6000 mAh battery and the smartphone can be used as a power bank for your other devices, thanks to the reverse charging feature. However, the battery is charged at 18W. It should be noted that the Narzo 30A is strictly a 4G smartphone and runs on Android 10 OS.

The Realme Narzo 30 Pro will come in Blade Silver and Sword Black colors, and the Narzo 30A in Laser Black and Laser Blue colors. The official pricing and availability of the new smartphones in the UAE is yet to be announced.
