The Entrepreneurship Cell of IIT Bombay is India’s leading non-profit student-run organization which aims at manifesting the latent entrepreneurial spirit among the youth of this country. Its initiatives have received patronage and recognition from entities like UNESCO, Startup India, Make in India, etc.
E-Cell, IIT Bombay has launched Eureka! GCC, its flagship and Asia’s largest Business-Model competition in the GCC region with prizes worth USD 100,000. Eureka! GCC is the Gulf region edition of Eureka!, founded by the Entrepreneurship Cell (E-Cell) of IIT Bombay, one of the world’s leading institutions. Eureka! GCC is powered by Gulf Islamic Investments (GII), this 5-month-long competition offers aspiring entrepreneurs the opportunity to design solid business models, gain mentorship from renowned VCs and angel investors and avail of excellent networking opportunities and educational workshops.
Last year, for Eureka! GCC’s first edition, startups were taken through a holistic entrepreneurship program, with over 16 workshops from leading CEO’s, to one on one mentorship programs with over 25 mentors and industry leaders, matched with startups specific to their sectors. The final event was a week long affair, hosting the 10 finale teams from all over the GCC in Dubai, UAE to Pitch to a panel of esteemed Jury Members including Dr. David Teece, Founder and Chairman of Berkeley Research Group at the EXPO 2020 site.
