While most security cameras come with single and dual-lens configurations, EZVIZ recently introduced the H80f Multi, an advanced security camera with a triple-lens setup that offers different focal lengths. We got a chance to try out the EZVIZ H80f Multi Triple-Lens camera and here are our thoughts about it.
Design
The H80f Multi is EZVIZ’s first triple-lens camera that is designed to offer exceptional outdoor security and coverage. The camera features a spherical design that allows free rotation. The device is capable of rotating horizontally by 340 degrees, and 70 degrees vertically, ensuring that you get the maximum coverage.
The spherical main body is designed in such a way that it hangs from the top down. It comes with a built-in mount that can be attached to the wall. The microSD card slot is located under the black portion of the camera and is secured with two screws so the memory card cannot be removed easily. The reset button is placed on the outer portion, which should make it easy to reset the camera quickly.
The camera we received for review features an all-white chassis, including the built-in mount. The dimensions of the device are 168 × 112 × 156 mm, and the EZVIZ H80f Multi is an IP67-certified camera, which means it should be able to handle different extreme weather conditions, be it heavy rain, snow, etc.
Under the mount is the speaker grills where its used for the two-way communication between anyone outside and inside homes.
The camera has a total of three cameras, each featuring the same 1/3” Progressive Scan CMOS image sensor. All three cameras also come with the same F1.6 aperture and are capable of 2K and 1080p video captures. The sensors only differ on the focal length, where one has a 2.8mm lens, the second sensor has a 6mm lens, and the third sensor has a 12mm lens. With the three sensors, users will be able to capture wide-angle coverage to zoomed-in footage. There are also three LEDs for strobe light usage, which can come in handy during the night.
The contents of the box include the main EZVIZ H80f Multi camera, a drill template, a waterproof kit, a screw kit, the power adaptor, the quick start guide, and regulatory information documents.
Features
With the zoom lens feature, you will be able to view one camera in wide-angle mode and the second footage in 4x or 12x zoomed visuals at the same time. The camera features AI-powered detections based on shape for humans and vehicles, along with auto-zoom tracking capability. The EZVIZ application is easy to setup with the camera, and is straightforward with its different features, including Pan and Tilt.
You can also set the camera for patrol modes for automatic security, along with its 360-degree panoramic view capability. The device is also capable of color night vision, which is a big plus point, especially when we have three lenses. When it comes to connectivity, the camera is compatible with IEEE802.11b, 802.11g, and 802.11n WiFi standards with support for security standards up to WPA2-PSK. The camera also has an alarm system, which can be configured to kick in when a human is detected.
As for the storage, the maximum supported microSD capacity is 512GB. EZVIZ also mentions that users will be able to take advantage of the EZVIZ CloudPlay, which is a subscription-based service. The camera saves the video in H.265 / H.264 formats. Users will also be able to establish smart integration of Google Assistant or Amazon Alexa with the camera.
