Lenovo’s ThinkTab series Android tablets are primarily focused on business users and frontline workers who require a device that is rugged and can perform well. We got the new Lenovo ThinkTab X11 tablet for review, and here are our thoughts about the device.
Design
The Lenovo ThinkTab X11 is designed to be used in tough situations and is the first rugged Android tablet under the Think brand. With the case, the device can handle drops, dust, and downpours. The tablet also comes with the MIL-STD-810H certification (when the protective case is used) for drop resistance and IP68 for dust and water resistance.
The dimensions of the tablet are 57.09mm x 168.65mm x 9.93mm, and the tablet weighs 650 g. The main display of the tablet features a 10.95-inch panel with 2560 x 1600 as the screen resolution, 90 Hz refresh rate, and Gorilla Glass protection. The tablet comes in Eclipse Black color.
The tablet features multiple connectivity options, such as the USB-C port on the bottom of the tablet. There is also another USB-C port on the right side that also has support for DisplayPort out. Both the USB-C ports feature Power Delivery 3.0 for fast-charge capability. The tablet also has its own headphone/mic jack, which is quite rare for most tablets today. The volume rockers and power button are on the top side of the tablet.
On the rear side, you have the 13MP rear-facing camera with autofocus and flash. One of the striking features of the ThinkTab X11 is that both the back panel and the battery is removable, something that we have not seen for so many years. It’s good to see this kind of design come back to life. There is also the ThinkTab logo on the rear side.
The removable battery design reminds us of how the old smartphones and feature phones used to be in the past. The capacity of the battery is 10,200 mAh, which can help to extend the usage for almost the whole day. There is also a MicroSD card slot under the battery compartment.
The tablet also comes with the Tab Pen XE, which is designed to help take notes, sign important documents, and make annotations, even in rainy or dusty places. It is also IP68 certified for dust and water resistance.
The package includes the ThinkTad X11 tablet, the removable battery, a USB-C cable, a 45W adapter, a rugged smart case, the Tab Pen XE, and a quick start guide.
Performance
The ThinkTab X11 is powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3, a 4nm, 8-core SoC that features one Kryo Prime core clocked at 2.5 GHz, three Kryo Gold cores clocked at 2.4 GHz speeds, and four Kryo Silver cores at 1.8 GHz speeds. The device runs on Android 16 OS. The RAM is 8GB, and the internal storage is 256GB. While the SoC isn’t high-end, the tablet runs really well with few noticible lags.
We tested the tablet using benchmarks such as Antutu, 3DMark, PCMark, and more. Check out the scores below.
Other features include two stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos, two mics, an 8MP fixed-focus front camera, WiFi 6E, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, GNSS, and more.
