The new Hama WKM-750 keyboard features a build that is made of high-quality and robust aluminium components. The keyboard features a dimension of 41.2×1.8×13.8 cm, and the device weighs about 505 g. While most of the chassis comes with a brushed aluminium finish, the top side of the keyboard has a different texture in grey color.
We also noticed that the “Connect” button and the “On-Off” power switch are placed on the top left side, which is easier to access, as compared to other similar keyboards where the buttons are usually on the rear side. There are also LED indicators for the battery and the number of devices that are connected.
The keyboard is designed to offer quiet operations and features a sturdy scissor key that can handle even high-speed typing sessions. While the surface of the keys isn’t really soft, it’s still comfortable to type on. Additionally, the keys are backlit, which makes them suitable for places that have less light or during nighttime. The keys also come with laser-engraved print labels, and the inclusion of Arabic letters is a bonus.
The keyboard also comes with Fn lock functionality, and you can also control multimedia-based apps with the secondary assignments of F keys. Similar to the keyboard, Hama made sure that the mouse also delivered quiet operations, thanks to its whisper-quiet buttons. The dimensions of the mouse are 6.8×3.7×10.7 cm, and the device weighs only 76 g.
The mouse also houses a slot to place the USB wireless receiver at the bottom side, along with the pairing button and power switch. Hama mentions that the mouse comes with the Blue Wave optical sensor that allows users to use the mouse on any type of surface. The wheel of the mouse is made of metal, and the device comes with Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) sliding pads. There are six buttons in total, which includes the wheel.
Hama mentions that both the keyboard and mouse are made of verifiably recycled ABS plastic. The packaging includes the keyboard, the mouse, one USB-A receiver, and one USB-A to USB-C charging cable. With regard to compatibility, both the devices are designed to work with Windows 11 systems, MacOS 11 or later systems, iOS 14 or later iPhones, iPadOS 14 or later iPads, or Android 8.0 or later powered smartphones. As for connectivity, users can opt for either the USB 2.4 GHz wireless mode, or with Bluetooth.
Hama also mentions that both the keyboard and mouse houses an integrated lithium polymer battery. One of the interesting features we noted is that the keyboard is capable of providing the AES-128 encryption standard for all keystrokes, keeping your data safe from intruding applications.
