Review: ASUS 32-inch ProArt PA329CV 4K Professional Monitor

While ASUS makes some fantastic monitors for consumers and gamers, their ProArt series displays offer higher quality image sharpness, resolution, and colors for creative professionals who work with such content on a daily basis. We take a look at the ASUS 32-inch ProArt PA329CV 4K monitor and here are our thoughts about it.

Design

The new ASUS ProArt PA329CV features a 32-inch 4K IPS panel with a display viewing area of 708.48 x 398.52 mm. The non-glare coating of the screen ensures that light does not reflect and distracts you while doing image-editing jobs. The viewing angles are just fantastic just like other IPS displays.

While many monitors have buttons behind the screen, the buttons of the PA329CV monitor are located on the bottom left side facing the front. This is more convenient for users to easily access the menu to change the display settings. Along with the power button, there are five other operational buttons and one directional button included. The bezels on the bottom feature a hairline finish, giving it a premium look.

The supporting stand of the monitor helps to easily tilt, swivel, pivot, and do height adjustments that go with your viewing experience. You can tilt the monitor between +23° ~ -5°, pivot between +90° ~ -90°, and swivel between +30° ~ -30°. The height of the monitor can be adjusted between 0 and 130 mm. ASUS has also included a C-clamp if you want to get rid of the base.

The stand also comes with a pass-through for better cable management. The base of the monitor is quite large enough to place your smartphone and other equipment. Although, it would have been nice to see a wireless charger implemented too.

The rear side of the monitor comes with a unique design that indicates it’s a professional device. Instead of using the ASUS logo, the company opted to use the ProArt branding on the rear side. The monitor has ports located on the bottom and right sides when looking from the rear side.

The main I/O section comes with two HDMI 2.0 ports, one DisplayPort 1.2, one USB-C port, two USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports, and one headphone jack. Apart from data transfers, the USB-C port also offers 90W power delivery. There are two more USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports on the right side of the device. The monitor also comes with dual 2W speakers.

As for dimensions, this is one of the heaviest and largest 32-inch monitors we have tried. With the stand and base, the monitor weighs about 12.6 Kg. And without the stand, the screen weighs 8.03 Kg. The dimensions of the monitor with the stand are 727.08 x (471.48~601.48) x 245 mm (W x H x D). The included accessories in the box are the Color pre-calibration report, the Desk C Clamp, one HDMI cable, one DisplayPort cable, one USB-C cable, a power cord, a quick start guide, a warranty, and a welcome card.
