After wowing the market with high profile launches such as the Moto X and Moto G phones, Motorola is going to make plans for low-budget phone. This Google company is readying to offer the smartphone market very low-cost phones. The plans might impact the future in big way.
Dennis Woodside, Motorola CEO has spoken to Trusted Reviews about the future devices the compnay is working on and customizing devices. This is what he has said – “In much of the world $179 is a lot of money so there’s a big market at a price point of less than $179.”
To this he added “We’re going to look at that and just delivering on that value promise is super important. I mean why can’t these devices be $50? There’s no reason that can’t happen so we’re going to push that.”
The company which has just started breathing in 2013 after a long hibernation and acquisition by Google, seems to be in a mood to take over the market.
The CEO indicated that a $50 smartphone is under process now, though he did not reveal any other information about the phone. This is not all the company is planning. The commany is also planning more choices to offer for customizations. “On the more premium side we’re pushing more customization. Today you have colours and beginning of materials but you don’t have screen size and you don’t have functionality and we’re going to bring all that in the next year or so” said the Moto CEO.
At such a low cost Google surely is going to share the market like never before. What’s also important is that with Motorola mill now creating new products, Google is also attempting to re-design the future of smartphones with customized specs.
