Technology consumers in Kuwait had the opportunity to view the latest Huawei devices at InfoConnect, as the global ICT solutions provider gears up to grow its consumer business group in 2014.
As part of its strategy to develop regional awareness of its devices, Huawei displayed its flagship Ascend P6, the slimmest smartphone in the world, alongside its range of intelligent home solutions.
Huawei’s recognition as a key global competitor in the smart device market took a significant step forward with International Data Corporation (IDC) reporting that the company secured the number three position worldwide in mobile shipments in 2013, attaining the highest year-on-year increase of 67.6% among leading vendors.
“InfoConnect 2014 was a great platform for us to present our latest smart devices to the Kuwaiti technology market as we continue on our global mission to grow our consumer business group. Huawei is able to utilize these popular technology exhibitions to raise awareness of our flagship products and our extended range of wireless home solutions. As Huawei’s consumer business grows in Kuwait, we plan to announce further smart devices and intelligent home solutions that help satisfy the changing needs of our regional consumers,” said Terry He, General Manager, Huawei Technologies, Kuwait.
InfoConnect, held at the Kuwait International Fairground 26 Jan-1 Feb, welcomes over 300,000 visitors each year featuring exhibitions from manufactures, software developers, ICT leaders and smart device vendors that present the latest technological devices.
