Prestigio, a leading manufacturer of mobile devices, consumer electronics and accessories, announced they will sell smartphones running the brand new Windows Phone 8.1 OS from Microsoft.
Recently at Microsoft`s Build 2014 conference which was held in San Francisco, Microsoft announced some new partners for Windows Phone, including Prestigio. Prestigio is committed to launching devices in the coming months running the newly unveiled operating system, Windows Phone 8.1.
Microsoft’s more personal approach with Windows Phone is making the experience “less about technology, more about you,” as corporate vice president Joe Belfiore said on stage at Build. Windows Phone 8.1 devices include features such as Live Tiles that surface information important to the user, Start screen enhancements that allow users to add a third column of medium tiles on all screen sizes, an Action Center that provides a centralized way to monitor all activity with a single swipe, and Data Sense, which helps users get the most out of their data plan by providing a clear picture into how data is being used.
For the enterprise, Microsoft is promising several new mobile device management [MDM] features, including more management capabilities and per-app enterprise VPN, which will allow phone users exclusive employee access to internal company sites.
By working with Microsoft, Prestigio is ensuring their customers around the globe will have access to the unique experience Windows Phone delivers consistently across all price points.
Microsoft gave a sneak peak to Build attendees and international press of the upcoming Prestigio Windows Phone 8.1 device on stage at Build. Prestigio will unveil more details about the device in the coming months.
