Debuted in 1996, Alienware is the name that has been known to produce high performance gaming laptops. The company is now been bought by Dell, but still it continues to produce its premium series of gaming laptops. The company produced its latest Alienware 17 recently that comes with glossy design and high performance components.

The laptop follows the traditional and flashy design that we have seen in Dell’s gaming laptops. Shining black body and splendid Alienware’s lighting provide this machine with an extraordinary look, which is the specialty of the Dell notebooks. The Alienware 17 features with incredible lighting system, it has illuminated logos, keyboard backlight, light around the bottom and glowing touchpad.

All of these LEDs can be customized by using AlienFX app, which allows you to change the transitions, pattern and colors. Even the display can be changed depending on how you are using your laptop. The gaming star is packed in an anodized aluminium body, which is coated with matte black finish. The edges of the machine are littered with angles, which gives it an adorable look.

The gaming machine comes with high performance Core i7-4700MQ processor, which offers smooth and increased usage time to the users without any hurdles. The processor speed is of 2.4 GHz. Packed with Nvidia’s most potent mobile chip GeForce GTX 880M, Aleinware 17 will surely provide you an amazing experience when you play games on it.

The speakers included are of decent quality, but the loudness of the speakers is not matched with the quality. Mid-range loudness is good, but at the same time it can be lifeless and flat.

Overall the system works very well for gamers. It is capable of handling torture at the hands of a hardcore gamer. If you are on the market for a very good gaming machine, go for the Alienware 17.
