Review: Acer H257HU

If you are in a search for a new desktop with high pixel density and full HD resolution, but do not have the required budget to fit it in, then the Acer H257HU monitor is just meant for you. The monitor comes with high pixel density. The price of this amazing piece is also very affordable as it will cost you just $369.99. The design of the monitor is also stylish that mesmerizes to users towards it.

This monitor is the ultra-high definition model with sharp and clear cut display that comes with 25 inch wide frame. This monitor features a Wide Quad High Definition (WQHD) panel with a 2,560 x 1,440 resolution and a 350-lit brightness level. The super in-plane technology (IPS) induced in the monitor will provide you rich, sharp and accurate colors with deep gray scale performance. The monitor is designed with wide viewing angles, making sure that clear view is provided even at acute angles.

The Acer H257HU has been designed as a classy and glossy looking piece, with aluminium material used at the circular base and the monitor’s frame. The panel of the screen is sleek and flat with HD print. The monitor with its circular base could be moved at 20 degree angle, but you won’t be able to adjust its height with the base.

Apart from the outlook of the monitor, its performance is also very impressive. It does not give much of stress to the eyes of the user. Acer’s flickerless technology and non-reflective panel included in the monitor eliminates the risk of stressing the eyes of the user.

The Acer H257HU provided with an advanced 6-axis color settings, which could be used by the user to set the color scheme according to his or her will and comfort. Although this feature of the monitor does not come in use as much because the devices has an already in build feature of in-plane switching technology (IPS) through which the monitor gives you the excellent color scheme, with rich and deep colors with a thought of not getting your eyes strained a lot.

2 Watts speakers installed in the monitor are not that good, but the Acer’s True Harmony audio technologies and DTS Sound processing enhance the loudness and add some bass to it. Overall the sound quality is also good, as the sound comes out to be better than the other set of monitors.

The monitor is an energy conserving device, that generally consumes 32 watts of power (when tested) while operating in the standard mode, which is quite much parallel to the BenQ XL 2420G. The device also runs at the eco mode, with 25 watts of consumption and that too without getting the picture quality or brightness getting affected as the screen does not become too dim.

Stylish look, amazing picture quality and affordable price make Acer H257HU a decent choice for those who are looking for a monitor with WQHD feature but do not wish to spend much on it.
