YouTube Takes Down Videos of YouTube Star “Dhinchak Pooja”

A few months ago, a new YouTube sensation from India took netizens by storm. Calling herself “Dhinchak Pooja”, whose real name is Pooja Jain, she came into headlines for her few cringe-pop songs. Cringe Pop is a genre of pop music. The music and music videos are described as being “so bad that you cannot stop watching them”.

We have now learnt that Dhinchak Pooja’s YouTube account has been suspended. This means now you will not be able to irritate your friends with the cringe worthy songs of the much hyped internet sensation Dhinchak Pooja. According to speculations, Pooja’s videos have been taken down due to some copyright claim by a person named ‘Kathappa Singh’.

Dhinchak Pooja is very popular in India. Her song ‘Selfie Maine Leli aaj’ had crossed more than 30 million views on YouTube. What even comes across as a shocker is that she has about 1,79,000 subscribers on her YouTube channel.

YouTube privacy policy states that you can request removal of a video if someone uploads a video of you without your consent. So whoever ‘Kathappa Singh’ is, he/she must have been featured in Dhinchak Pooja’s videos, without prior consent – probably in the background or elsewhere.

Have your say!
