Dell Launches Refreshed Lineup of Laptops at GITEX Shopper 2017

What are the company’s latest products offered during GITEX Shopper Spring 2017?
Dell has unveiled new industry-first additions to its award-wining XPS and Inspiron portfolio – starting with the launch of a refreshed line of Inspiron 5000 2-in-1series and the Inspiron 13 7000 series, both pack even more performance than its predecessors with the new 8th Generation Intel Core processors. This followed a sneak peek into the soon to be launched XPS 13 and Inspiron 15 7000 Gaming series, complete with a sleek design, outstanding viewing experience and kicking performance up a notch with the new 8th Generation Intel Core processor.

With the latest 8th Generation Intel Core processors and Dynamic Power Mode, the XPS 13 will now offer up to 44 percent more performance in comparison to its predecessor, carrying forward the tradition of delivering the best computing experience. Expanding its gaming efforts, the new Inspiron 15 Gaming laptop comes equipped with even more powerful graphic options and flaunts a heavy duty muscle featuring a professional-grade cooling system with dual fans, oversized pipes and heat exchangers to keep the laptop cool and highly responsive.

The super thin Inspiron 5000 2-in-1 offers 8th Generation Intel Core processor and DDR4 memory for enhanced performance in a flexible form factor. The visually stunning new Inspiron 13 7000 laptop features an ultra-thin and light design and ensures that it will turn heads while delivering the exceptional performance that Dell’s Inspiron 7000 series promises.

What have sales been like though the past year?
Over the last year, the total notebook market in the UAE declined 1.3 percent while Dell grew by 2 percent over the same period within the consumer segment.

Electronics margins are notoriously thin, how can manufacturers stay ahead in a market that is softening?
As an organization we strive to stay ahead of the technology curve and bring the latest and most innovative products to the market place. Our customers are well informed and are willing to pay for the latest technology.

Where are you seeing growth and what products have become the de-facto leaders, has there been a change?
Gaming as a segment has been witnessing double digit growth globally as well as locally. We are sustaining this trend by delivering the best gaming products for players at every level. For example, the refreshed Inspiron 15 7000 Gaming series, packed with even more performance with 8th Generation Intel Core processor.

We continue to see growth in 2 in 1’s as well, as more and more customers adopt these new and innovative form factors. Catering to this norm, we have launched a refreshed line of Inspiron 5000 2-in-1 series and the purposefully innovative and sleek Inspiron 13 7000 laptop – both packed with the new 8th Generation Intel Core processors.
