ASUS to officially launch the ROG Phone 5 on March 10

ASUS will be officially announcing its next gaming smartphone called the ROG Phone 5. The company has launched an event page with a live timer, confirming the name of the device, and also skipping the ROG Phone 4 name scheming.

While the page does not confirm any further details of the upcoming smartphone, there are already several data entries on Geekbench and also in TENAA’s database regarding its specifications and design. According to Geekbench, the ROG Phone 5 is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 888 SoC and will run on Android 11 OS. The device is also expected to come in either 8GB or 16GB RAM options.

As per the details from TENAA, the ROG Phone 5 will come with a 6.78-inch AMOLED display, a dual-cell 6000 mAh battery, 5G internet speeds, and more. There are also leaked images of the device from TENAA. Expect the smartphone to have similar but improved features as previous ROG smartphones, along with gaming accessories to enhance the experience, such as the next version of the Kunai Gamepad and the TwinView Dock. It also looks like the new smartphones will have RGB LED lights on the rear side.
