Xiaomi today unveiled the latest additions to its T Series smartphone lineup with the launch of the Xiaomi 17T Series, comprising the Xiaomi 17T and Xiaomi 17T Pro. The new lineup combines Leica-powered imaging, advanced display technology, and high-capacity batteries in a refined design, and introduces dual sizes to the T Series for the first time.
Positioned as imaging-focused flagships, the Xiaomi 17T Series is designed for modern users seeking professional-grade photography and all-day performance in a compact form factor.
At the heart of the series is a triple camera system led by a 50MP main sensor. The Xiaomi 17T Pro features a 1/1.31-inch sensor, while the Xiaomi 17T includes a 1/1.55-inch sensor. Both models integrate Leica UltraPure optical design with a Leica Summilux 1G+6P lens structure to deliver improved clarity, dynamic range, and depth of field.
For the first time in the T Series, both devices feature a Leica 5x telephoto camera, enabling 50MP telephoto shots with optical image stabilisation. The system supports macro photography from 30cm, 10x optical-grade zoom, and up to 120x AI Ultra Zoom, offering enhanced flexibility across focal ranges. On the Xiaomi 17T Pro, the system also enables 4K 60fps cinematic video recording with natural bokeh for improved storytelling in video content.
Xiaomi also introduced Leica Live Moment, a new imaging feature that captures motion before and after the shutter moment, preserving movement and emotion beyond a single frame. The feature is supported across all rear lenses, while Leica Live Portrait enhances depth and subject separation with natural motion-based bokeh. New Leica watermarks and collage features further enhance sharing options.
Exclusive to the Xiaomi 17T Pro, Live Cinematography enables Ultra-HD 4K Live Moment capture and advanced zoom-based cinematic effects for enhanced creative control.
On the display front, the Xiaomi 17T Series introduces Xiaomi Vision Care, a suite of eye-care technologies designed to reduce strain during extended use. The 1.5K AMOLED display delivers up to 3,500 nits peak brightness, ensuring clarity even in direct sunlight. The Pro variant supports up to a 144Hz refresh rate, while the standard model offers 120Hz. The Xiaomi 17T Pro also features ultra-slim 1.29mm bezels on all sides using LIPO packaging technology.
The Xiaomi 17T Series is powered by next-generation silicon-carbon battery technology. The Xiaomi 17T Pro features a 7,000mAh battery, the largest ever in a Xiaomi international smartphone, while the Xiaomi 17T includes a 6,500mAh battery. Both devices support fast charging, with 100W HyperCharge on the Pro and 67W on the standard model, alongside PPS compatibility.
Performance is driven by MediaTek chipsets, with the Dimensity 9500 powering the Pro variant and the Dimensity 8500-Ultra on the Xiaomi 17T. Both chips deliver improvements in CPU, GPU, and AI performance, supported by Xiaomi’s 3D IceLoop cooling system for sustained thermal efficiency during intensive use.
The Xiaomi 17T Series will be available in multiple colour options, including Blue, Purple, Black, and White. Pricing starts at AED 2,399 for the Xiaomi 17T and AED 2,899 for the Xiaomi 17T Pro in the UAE.
