ŌURA unveils Oura Ring 5, the world’s smallest smart ring

ŌURA, maker of the world’s leading smart ring, has announced the launch of Oura Ring 5, introducing what it describes as the world’s smallest smart ring while significantly expanding its health monitoring and AI-driven wellness capabilities.

Built on more than 12 years of innovation, Oura Ring 5 is 40% smaller than its predecessor and combines advanced sensors, artificial intelligence, and a redesigned hardware architecture to deliver more comprehensive health insights in a lighter and more comfortable form factor.

“Oura Ring 5 is a big step toward our vision of giving every body a voice,” said Tom Hale, Chief Executive Officer at Oura. “By making the ring smaller, easier to wear, and pairing it with our most advanced software yet, we’re enabling more people to benefit from personalized and predictive health insights every day.”

Crafted from lightweight, non-allergenic titanium, the ring features redesigned sensors, enhanced LEDs, and improved signal pathways to deliver more accurate readings across different finger types and skin tones. Available in sizes 6 to 13, it comes in multiple finishes, including the newly introduced Deep Rose and a redesigned Gold option. The ring is also dustproof, water-resistant up to 100 metres, and features enhanced scratch resistance.

Alongside the new hardware, Oura is introducing an expanded suite of software experiences focused on proactive health, activity tracking, metabolic health, women’s health, and connected care.

One of the headline additions is Health Radar, a new feature designed to identify emerging health patterns before they become significant issues. Initially, Health Radar includes Blood Pressure Signals and Nighttime Breathing monitoring, providing users with insights into cardiovascular strain and sleep-related breathing disturbances.

According to Dr. Ricky Bloomfield, Chief Medical Officer at Oura, the platform aims to make health data more actionable by helping users identify meaningful changes in their biometrics and understand when further evaluation may be needed.

Oura is also launching Live Activity Tracking, enabling members to monitor pace, distance, and heart rate in real time through the Oura app during activities such as running, cycling, and strength training.

The company has further expanded its metabolic health offering with GLP-1 Insights, designed to help users taking GLP-1 medications track dosing schedules, side effects, weight changes, and key wellness metrics in a single platform. New Lab Upload capabilities will also allow members to integrate laboratory test results directly into the app.

For women’s health, Oura has introduced Menopause Insights, featuring a new Menopause Impact Scale to help users better understand how symptoms affect daily life. The company has also expanded Cycle Insights to support women using hormonal birth control, offering a clearer picture of how contraceptives may influence physiological patterns.

To support users on the move, Oura introduced the Oura Ring 5 Charging Case, a portable accessory capable of storing up to one month of battery power.

Oura Ring 5 is available for pre-order now and begins shipping on June 4, 2026. In the UAE, the device will be available through retailers including Virgin Megastore, Noon UAE, GoSport, Amazon, Capi, and Activ8. Pricing starts at AED 1,599 for standard finishes and AED 1,999 for premium finishes, with Oura Membership available for AED 29.99 per month or AED 269 annually.
