LG Electronics will launch a new UltraFine 5K for Mac user this month. The UltraFine 5K display is being touted to be the “world’s first” 5K display with a Thunderbolt 3 port that can transmit 4K video. The display is able to do this while simultaneously charging a MacBook Pro up to 85W with just one single cable. Furthermore, the display allows users to connect to several additional devices with its three USB-C downstream ports located at the back of the monitor.
Displaying a brightness of 500cd/m2, the 5K display is at 218 pixel per inch, illustrating an array of color and contrast at the fascinating resolution of 5120×2880. The 5K display also comes with a built-in webcam and speakers.
“We are thrilled to be launching these impeccable displays that are innovating the ways in which Mac users will use their devices for both work and leisure,” said Yong Geun Choi, President, LG Electronics Gulf. “This step will be a testament to how LG is revolutionizing monitors in the market, and how it is welcoming improved efficiency and creativity to all its users.”
