Among many things, one of the most requested features on Windows Phone has been a notification center. Rumour has it that Microsoft will be bringing it on Windows Phone with the Blue update. Now, to add credibility to that, alleged screenshot of the notification center dubbed as ‘Action Center’ has surfaced online. The source of the leak is a confidential email that was sent within Microsoft.
The screenshot reveals quick toggle buttons for WiFi and Bluetooth radios, as well as Airplane mode and Drive Mode. We’re assuming there’ll be more of these that will be configurable by the user. Just below is a quick settings button that can be used to configure the quick access buttons. Below these are all the notifications stacked up in one place.
Not only will the notifications show up in this space, but the apps will also be able to manage notifications intelligently. Meaning, less important notifications will directly go to the notification center without alerting the user, unlike the toast notifications in Windows Phone presently.
Lastly, Windows Phone 8.1 would also add battery percentage next to the battery icon, another heavily requested feature. Microsoft is expected to unveil Windows Phone 8.1 at BUILD 2014 in April.
