Amazon is introducing a completely redesigned Kindle lineup—rethought at every level to deliver the best Kindle experience yet —by rebuilding the device family from the ground up, starting with a new reverse-stack display construction, a first in the e-reader category.
Every device now features a flush-front display—no raised border interrupting the reading surface. Just seamless edge-to-edge display for an uninterrupted page and a thinner, more portable device. The physical colour of each device now wraps seamlessly from front to back. That means the colour you choose is visible whether the Kindle is on a café table, a nightstand, or tucked in a tote bag. The lineup introduces stylish new colours: Ube (a rich purple), Alpine Sky, Seaglass Green, and Graphite, and brings Fig to e-readers for the first time.
The new Kindle
The all-new 6-inch Kindle is the most pocket-sized Kindle to date. With 16GB of storage, up to six weeks of battery life, and 30% faster book opening than the previous lineup, it’s lighter and features a new seamless flush-front design. This required rethinking how the display, frontlight, and touch layers are assembled and bonded. An edge-to-edge colour is also being introduced across the entire family. The housing is made from recycled materials with a 100% recycled cobalt battery. The all-new Kindle costs AED 659 and is available in Ube and Graphite.
This 6-inch Kindle is also available for the first time with an aluminium back—same pocket-sized form factor, same flush-front display, but with a premium feel you notice the moment you pick it up and that younger readers are used to from reading on other devices. The housing is crafted from 80% recycled aluminium with a matte finish. The aluminium Kindle has 32GB of storage and is available in two colours, Alpine Sky Aluminium and Seaglass Green Aluminium, for AED 729.
The new Kindle Paperwhite
The all-new Kindle Paperwhite is thinner and lighter than the previous lineup, waterproof with an adjustable warm light for comfortable reading at any hour, and up to 12 weeks of battery life on a single charge. The Paperwhite display uses an oxide-thin film transistor backplane and is the largest Kindle Paperwhite display with the highest contrast ratio—delivering deep blacks, crisp text, and images that pop off the screen, whether you’re reading in bright sunlight or under the covers at night.
The Signature Edition adds an aluminium rear housing, 32GB of storage, an auto-adjusting front light, and double-tap page-turning—all while remaining thinner than the previous version.
Available with 16GB of storage in Graphite for AED 849. The Signature Edition with 32GB of storage is available in Graphite and Seaglass Green for AED 959.
Kindle Colorsoft delivers richer, paper-like colour
The new Kindle Colorsoft delivers paper-like colour that’s easy on the eyes without the harsh glare of a tablet. Whether you’re scrolling through colourful covers in your library or flipping through a travel guide, comic, or graphic novel, the display makes colour reading feel natural. To achieve paper-like colour, the Kindle Colorsoft display includes a light-guide with nitride LEDs to enhance colour and increase brightness, all without washing out the details. It uses an oxide backplane with custom waveforms for faster performance and higher contrast in both colour and black-and-white content. The latest Kindle Colorsoft has a completely redesigned display, using the reverse printing technologythat’s applied across the lineup for edge-to-edge colour. The light guide contains micro-deflectors that minimise stray light and improve uniformity, and an ultra-thin optical coating in the display stack improves clarity.
The Colorsoft Signature Edition adds aluminium housing, 32GB of storage, an auto-adjusting front light, and double-tap to turn pages.
Available with 16GB of storage in Graphite for AED 1,119. The Signature Edition with 32GB of storage is available in Graphite and Fig for AED 1,229.
